The Rhode Island John Brown Gun Club is raising money to buy supplies for free distribution to housing insecure and income insecure people living in Providence. This is a continuation of our successful cold weather gear distribution program which started last November and, thanks to your generous donations, was able to provide assistance supplies to dozens of people over the winter and spring.

While it has warmed up, being out on the streets is still no picnic. In an ever more precarious economy, most of us are a few bad luck incidents from facing housing insecurity. Since the state won’t do what’s necessary to help these folks by providing housing, it falls to the community to help each other.

We can't increase shelters' capacity, but we CAN try to make sleeping outside suck less.
