Ridgecrest Senior Housing Fire Safety
Donation protected
As many of you may have heard, in June of last year, a fire broke out at Ridgecrest Senior Housing. Without any clear indication of where to meet, residents had no idea where to go, making it very difficult for firefighters to keep track of everyone. Through this project, Ridgecrest and I would like to change this and improve overall fire safety for our Senior citizens.
Hi, I am Jaywu Jun, Life Scout of Troop 7 in Ridgewood. I want to install two planter boxes outside Ridgecrest's apartments that indicate exactly where residents should meet. This will allow first responders to keep track of residents more easily in an emergency, while also adding to Ridgecrest's beautiful outdoor areas rather than disrupting them like a "emergency meeting place" sign would.
Money raised will be used towards the purchase of wooden planter box kits, paint, waterproof coating, soil, and plants. Any surplus donations will be given to Ridgecrest.
