Ride for Valencia
Valencia was born very poorly, starved of Oxygen, unable to breathe for herself, floppy and lifeless.
Mri showed Valencia had global damage to her brain resulting in grade 3 severe HIE.
As Valencia got older she has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, affecting all limbs, she cannot sit unaided, or walk and crawl. Valencia is non verbal and has sever muscle stiffness called Spasticity and uncontrolled Epilepsy.
Valencias family currently pay for weekly physiotherapy sessions and have done since birth, this helps with her muscles getting stiffer, functionality and learn more skills. None of this is available on the NHS, and what can offer is simply not enough.
Money raised will go towards getting Valencia to America for Intensive Therapy called NAPA, in the hope it might help her achieve some independence and gain new skills. There isn't anywhere in the UK that can offer this type of Intensive Therapy.
The starting price is £7080 without flights and accommodation. Valencia would be able to have 4 hours a day intensive therapy/care for 3 weeks.
Please donate, it will help Valencia and her family so much.
On the 14 July 2021, Karen and myself are attempting to Ride 200 miles in and around Cornwall....we've not rode a bike in decades and have done training or fitness preparation.....what can go wrong!!
