Ride for Sight: 1,000-Miles to Make a Difference

This summer, we—Tommy and Wesley—are taking on a challenge that spans the entire length of Great Britain: a 1,000-mile ride from Land’s End to John O’ Groats.
But this isn’t just about the miles.
We’re riding to raise awareness and funds for those affected by vision loss, especially for conditions like Retinitis Pigmentosa, a progressive eye disease that Wesley himself lives with every day. As his vision narrows, our goal is to broaden the spotlight on the challenges faced by those losing their sight—and to contribute to real solutions through research and support.
Our Goal: Raise funds for:
- Foundation Fighting Blindness: An organization funding cutting-edge research into retinal diseases
- Hellen Keller International: A charity that combats the causes and consequences of blindness and malnutrition by establishing programs based on evidence and research in vision, health, and nutrition
This journey is about resilience, visibility, and hope. Every mile we ride, and every dollar raised, brings us closer to a future where no one has to face vision loss alone—or without options.
If you wish to donate directly, please Venmo Tommy at @Tommy-Maloney and we will record your donation here as a external or cash donation.
