Ride for Recovery: A Mongolian Adventure for Tristan Hinxman

Join me, Andreas Stace, on a journey of a lifetime as I ride through the vast and rugged landscapes of Mongolia to raise funds for my dear friend, Tristan Hinxman. Tristan is an ex-soldier and lifelong adventurer whose spirit remains unbroken despite immense challenges. Five years ago, Tristan suffered a devastating accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down, with limited movement in his shoulders and arms. Despite numerous operations and a grueling physical and mental battle, Tristan's determination and resilience continue to inspire everyone who knows him.

Earlier this year, Tristan celebrated his 50th birthday with friends from around the world at his home in Sweden. This joyous occasion brought a significant boost to his mental well-being, but the financial strain of his condition remains a significant burden. Tristan receives minimal state support, and our goal is to raise funds to enhance his quality of life, striving for as much independence as possible. Therefore the target is to help Tristan to finance a heavily modified car which will afford him a greater amount of freedom. 

**The Adventure:**

On June 17th, I'll embark on a thrilling motorcycle journey, flying from Arlanda Stockholm to Ulaanbaatar via Istanbul. For 10 days, I'll traverse the breathtaking Mongolian landscape, facing the challenges and embracing the freedom that comes with each mile. One of my strongest inspirations for this trip was watching "The Long Way Round" with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. I never, ever thought I would actually do it. But what truly pushed me to take the plunge was hearing about Tristan's own incredible adventure—participating in the Mongolia Rally, where he bought a car for less than £500 and drove it from London to Mongolia. His story fueled my desire to experience the same sense of adventure and, most importantly, to support my friend.  In doing this I sincerely hope Tristan’s dream of greater freedom becomes a step nearer.
