Ride Beyond Limits: Breaking Records to Break Stigma

What is this fundraiser?
I am Dylan Pearce, an ultra endurance cyclist on a mission to break records, breaking stigma around mental health. In 2026, I will be attempting multiple ultra distance cycling records and racing long distances to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Every ride is a reminder that no matter how steep the climb, there is always a way forward.

About Me
Over the past four years, cycling has become more than just a sport or hobby to me; it has been my therapy, my discipline and purpose. Through countless hours of training and self-coaching, I have turned myself from the average cycling enthusiast to a newly formed ultra endurance athlete.

In 2025, I bikepacked 1300km around Quebec's Gaspé Peninsula making it known that long distance truly was for me. Not long after, I registered for my first ultra distance race being 540km with 5200m elev., finishing first overall by a large margin. I've since cycled 825km around Lake Ontario in 28 hours without sleep, as another great challenge both mentally and physically.

I am now channeling that same drive into something bigger, to help others find strength through the struggle.

The Mission: Breaking Records to Break Stigma
Ride Beyond Limits is more than endurance challenges, it's a movement to spark conversations and bring awareness about mental health.

Through this campaign, I aim to:
  • Raise $7500 for CMHA
  • Use cycling as a platform to promote mental health awareness
  • Prove that with the right mindset, we can all go further than we ever believed possible.

The Challenges Ahead
In 2026 I will be attempting a series of ultra distance challenges, each one representing the fight against stigma and power of perseverance.
  • Pacific Coast Highway (Canada-Mexico), 2800km: Fastest Known Time Attempt
  • Lake Ontario Circumnavigation, 825km: World Ultra Cycling & World Guinness record attempt
  • Across Ontario (Point to Point), 805km: World Ultra Cycling record attempt
  • Mishigami Road Race, 1600km: Podium goal
  • Race Across Quebec, 1000km: Podium goal

All rides and challenges will be documented through Instagram and Strava, bringing followers along for every kilometer, sunrise, sunset and moment of mental and physical grit.

Why This Matters
I have battled my own mental health challenges in the past, working with therapists, counsellors and attending programs that helped me reshape myself to the person I am today.

Cycling gave me structure, hope and purpose when I needed it most. When rides become tough and long, it becomes hard mentally to push forward. Reminding myself where I used to be and that there is always a way forward. No matter what the mind tells you, you're a lot more capable than you think.

I now want to use that same energy to give back, to raise funds and awareness for those still climbing their own invisible hills.

Join the Ride
All proceeds will go directly to the Canadian Mental Health Association, funding programs that provide counselling, crisis support and education.

Every kilometer I ride, will be in honour of the strength it takes to keep going, on the road and in life.

Thank you for not just supporting me but, for everyone fighting their own battle.

A proud thank you to the Barrie Cycling Club for sponsoring me and standing by my side through this journey and initiative to tackle mental health. Spreading awareness and breaking stigma, whilst pushing past limits and barriers we didn't think were possible.

Together we can break records and break stigma.
