Ricky Stanford journey awaiting a heart transplant

We come to you today with broken hearts — asking and pleading for your prayers and financial assistance as our beloved brother, Roderick Balintona, known to many as Ricky, fights for his life.

On New Year’s Day 2025, Ricky suffered a massive heart attack and was later diagnosed with severe heart failure. Since then, our family has watched helplessly as his health has rapidly declined. His heart has grown weaker… breathing has become a struggle… his body swollen and frail. He’s been in and out of the hospital countless times, each time more critical than the last.

Now, at just 40 years old, Ricky lies in the ICU, fighting for every heartbeat, surrounded by machines and IV lines, as his wife Pamela and their little boy Zayden pray for a miracle.

And tomorrow morning, June 26th, that miracle may begin. By God’s grace, Ricky will be flown to Stanford Hospital, where he has been accepted to await a life-saving heart transplant — his only hope for survival.

But this journey comes with overwhelming emotional and financial burdens. We cannot carry this alone. That is why we humbly come to you — friends, family, even strangers with compassionate hearts — pleading for your prayers, and for any financial support you can offer to help us through this fight for Ricky’s life.
