Richard “Max” Albright, an RN at Hospital for Special Surgery for 16 years, left his Jackson Heights home for a walk almost 4 years ago. On Sept 29, 2025 his remains were discovered by a survey crew working in a fenced field near 20th Ave in College Point, Queens. While the NYPD is still investigating, it appears Max was robbed and murdered. The entire situation has been horrible but the knowledge that such a kind, sweet person died like this is devastating for his family and friends.

Max and Cathy were married for 25 years. Formerly of Amarillo, Texas, the Albrights have lived in New York City for 20 years. The mysterious circumstances of Max’s disappearance, and now his murder, have

had a devastating effect on Cathy, a disabled Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
