Hi everyone! I am raising money for my parents to help them out as much as possible, as my mother, Joy, is struggling to juggle taking care of my father, Rich, full-time, while also handling numerous unexpected expenses that have come up over the past few years.

In 2019, our family was thrown a curve ball with dad’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. This timing was not ideal, as he planned to continue working to make sure they had enough saved for retirement. With his rapidly declining health, he was forced to retire early and sell our family home so that my parents could move to a place where dad could have the care he needed.

With higher monthly expenses since 2019, their retirement has slowly depleted. Unfortunately, we were told that due to the amount they receive from social security, they would not be eligible for Medicaid benefits.

My mom has become quite the superhero over the past few years, learning how to take care of dad and ensuring that he has a good quality of life while they navigate this horrible disease.

My hope is to raise enough money to help with housing, medical, and other living expenses for the next few months while we navigate alternatives for living arrangements where we can also give dad the care he needs. We appreciate anything and everything that is donated for this cause!
