Rice Lane City Farm is situated in the dense urban landscape of North Liverpool. For almost 40 years we have been an open access site, charge no entrance fee and are open to the public 7 days a week 52 weeks a year from 10am to 3.30pm.
Our site includes a working farmyard, vegetable gardens, an under 8’s outdoor play area and 24 acres of safe green space. We provide services to the community using horticulture, conservation, land management and animal husbandry to educate and to help address relevant issues such as wellbeing, inequality, prejudice, poverty and lack of opportunity.
We provide training opportunities and educational placements for people with an interest in animals and the outdoors, we work with other community organisations, schools, colleges and higher education institutions.
We are aiming to raise funds to go towards the upkeep and running costs of Rice Lane City Farm, which is a unique and vital part of the Liverpool community.
