Hi, we’re the Rice family, a hardworking, loving family of five doing everything we can to make ends meet and care for our children. It’s incredibly difficult for us to ask for help, but we’ve reached a point where we simply can’t carry everything alone anymore.

Right now, our only vehicle, the one we depend on to get to work, school, the grocery store, and medical appointments, is on the verge of breaking down. We don’t know yet if it can be fully repaired or if we’ll need to replace it entirely. Either way, the cost is far more than we can afford, and we are devastated.

But this isn’t the only hardship we’ve been carrying.

Over the past few months, our lives have been hit with one thing after another:

Our rent was suddenly raised, stretching our budget even thinner.

A pipe burst in our home, causing unexpected damage and repairs.

And most painfully of all, we suffered a miscarriage, a loss that has left us heartbroken in ways words can’t describe.

Emotionally, financially, and physically… it’s been overwhelming. We’re doing our best to stay strong for our children, but behind closed doors, we’re exhausted. We’ve exhausted all of our resources. And now we’re humbly asking for help.

We’re trying to raise $10,000 to either:

Repair our van completely, if possible

Or make a down payment on a safe, reliable vehicle

We’re not asking for luxuries. We’re simply trying to hold together the foundation our family depends on, to stay afloat, stay mobile, and keep showing up for our children.
