RI Bakers Unite: Bake Sale for Moms Demand Action

We are a group of Rhode Islanders on a mission to combat gun violence. We also like to bake! So we are baking to raise money to support Moms Demand Action.

Moms Demand Action describes themselves as "a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. We pass stronger gun laws and work to close the loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our families. We also work in our own communities and with business leaders to encourage a culture of responsible gun ownership. We know that gun violence is preventable, and we’re committed to doing what it takes to keep families safe."

We have seen time and time again the negative effects of gun violence in our communities. Enough is enough.

We are getting out our mixers and spoons and baking pans to bake for all of you. We will be baking over 1,000 pieces of pastry for this bake sale, all of which will be sorted into mixed boxes and sold via pre-order. 100% of the proceeds from our bake sale will be donated to Moms Demand Action. One of our team members will be collecting the funds and submitting them to Moms Demand Action, at which point, her employer will be matching the donation, thereby doubling our impact.

Since this bake sale is being done by pre-order, please submit all of your orders by Thursday, June 1, 2023. If we have boxes left over after the pre-order period is complete, the boxes will be for sale at our pick-up locations on June 3; stay tuned for information about that!

Small boxes will contain an assortment of six items and are $15

Large boxes will contain an assortment of twelve items and are $25
