Help Rebuild Homes in Treasure Beach After Hurricane Devastation
Dear Friends,
My name is Janoi, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my beloved father, Melvin Myrie, a dedicated fisherman from Treasure Beach in St. Elizabeth, along with my loving mom Elizabeth Taylor and Ms. Shirley. Our community was recently struck by a devastating hurricane, leaving my father's home severely damaged and his roof completely destroyed.
Melvin comes from a long line of fisherfolk who have devoted their lives to the sea, providing for their families and contributing to the vibrant culture of our coastal community. In addition to my father, we are also seeking support for Liz Taylor, who runs the fishing beach, and Ms. Shirley, both of whom have lived on the beach for generations. They have been integral to our community, dedicating their lives to maintaining the beach and supporting the fishing industry. The hurricane has also caused significant damage to their homes and livelihoods, and they too are in urgent need of assistance to rebuild.
We are asking for your assistance to raise $25,000 to cover the costs of repairing the roofs and restoring the homes of Melvin, Liz, and Ms. Shirley. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference and bring us one step closer to rebuilding what was lost.
Please consider contributing to our GoFundMe campaign and sharing it with your network. Together, we can make a positive impact on their lives and help them rebuild their homes and future.
We thank you for your kindness and support.
