Rhiannon's Borneo expedition

Hi, I'm Rhiannon, 15 years old and along with other students from my school, I am volunteering to take part in an amazing experience, a four week adventure to Borneo.

I will experience true off-grid living, trekking through the heart of the Bornean jungle and helping to protect orangutan habitats.

I'm going to discover a totally different way of life, living as part of several rural communities and working together to create sustainable change. I am hoping to learn new skills and actively contribute along with the other volunteers.

The trip is expensive and I have been raising funds in several different ways

- I have qualified as a football referee

- babysitting

-car boot sales

-selling items on vinted

-sweet stalls at events.

I have raised money and received support from family.

I am fully committed to making the most of my time in Borneo.
