We are the proud residents of the Red Top Community, a Black Settlement Community, and we are continuing our mission to preserve our legacy, support our families, and strengthen our future.

While our original campaign aimed to purchase the historic Tobin-Boyd School, we are saddened to share that our offer to acquire the property was rejected by the developers. But our commitment to building a space for our community remains strong—and so, we are shifting our focus to something just as meaningful:

Rebuilding the Red Top Community Center on Hughes Road.

This center has long served as a gathering place for our neighborhood—but today, it is in serious disrepair. With your support, we will restore and revitalize this building so it can once again serve as:

This center will become a safe, welcoming, and empowering space for our residents—just as we dreamed Tobin-Boyd could be.

If you’ve already donated, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your gift will now go toward this updated plan. If you would prefer a refund, please reach out directly to the campaign organizer.

➡️ All donations received on July 26, 2025, and going forward will go directly toward the Hughes Road Community Center reconstruction.

We may have lost one building, but we are not defeated. With your help, we are creating something powerful—a space for learning, connection, celebration, and healing, right in the heart of Red Top.

Stand with us. Give what you can. Share this story. Help us build the community center our residents deserve.

Thank you for believing in Red Top.
