!!!!UPDATE!!!!
We had 3 diagnosis quotes and our 4th paid off. Josh from Miller Boys determined with a few new electrical parts and a ECM (computer) we can be up and running at half the cost!
Hi, my name is Hope and my husband is Jeremiah. We have recently taken on a special project managing the Phases 2 and 3 for Dottie's Daughters. Let me first tell you briefly about Dottie's Daughter (https://dottiesdaughters.com/) and give more details later.
Our close friend had the dream to open a non-profit women's shelter. Her personal story is amazing and will bring tears to your eyes. She is an amazing, strong, single mother who has defeated many life challenges that most pray they would never have to encounter.
So where we come in is, the fact that fundraising and previous volunteer support never panned out so we decided to get the ball rolling and the project back on track by managing Phase 2 and 3. Phase 2 is demoing 4 dilapidated mobile homes on the purchased property and Phase 3 is site prep for small cabins (https://www.archedcabinsllc.com/). Jeremiah and his dad, thanks to multiple friends, were graciously allowed to use an 8-ton tractor, diesel truck, and trailer for the job. The tractor has been the heart of the demo and with only 2 days remaining to complete phase 2, it broke down. All work thus far has been completed by only a handful of volunteers including both of us, a few friends, and family. All expenses to date covering food, drinks, gas, operating fees, debris disposal, and initial diagnostic fees have totaled 8K and have been 100% covered without any fundraising.
We are proud to have been blessed to achieve this however the recent estimated invoice to fix the tractor after multiple expert evaluations is $12,000 dollars!
Without the tractor, we are at a standstill, this GoFundMe is specifically for fixing the tractor however any additional funds or donations would go straight to the organization. The formal fundraising is in process and will go live on the site very soon. This will allow us to continue our mission to support single-mother families by providing essential resources such as housing, food, clothing, education, therapy, and community support. In February 2024, we took a significant step towards creating a safe and nurturing environment for these families by purchasing land dedicated to their well-being.
Together, we can build more than just houses; we can build a community where single-mother families thrive. Your support can make this dream a reality.
Please consider supporting our repair needs and become a part of this transformative journey.
Thank you for your generosity and commitment to making a lasting impact.
Have a blessed day on behalf of Dottie's Daughters!
