Reunite These Boys & Their Loving Protective Mom
Donation protected
We are raising funds for a US Hagued mother who has been separated from her children by the family court system in Maine. The funds raised will be used to retain a competent family law attorney knowledgeable in DV and children's advocacy to represent this mother in an upcoming hearing wherein the judge will determine whether or not to invoke 2 more years of no contact orders between this protective Hagued mother and her two young children. This is completely unjust. You can read her story below.
It has been over 3 years now since this mother has seen or had any type of contact with her children. On December 8th, 2019 she was violently arrested in the the middle of the night at gunpoint based on falsified allegations filed under the Hague Convention by her children's abusive father; severing the maternal and primary bond with her children. Their mother never had a chance to say goodbye to them. The Hague Convention is now primarily being used as a weapon against protective mothers.
Her children have been taken from their safe parent and removed across the country without consent, without due process, and without competent counsel. Not only have these children experienced direct abuse, but they have witnessed their mother being strangled and assaulted; their mother who sacrificed everything to protect them, erased completely from their lives. Their trauma will likely last a lifetime.
Since then, she has done everything asked of the court and her legal team, but she still doesn't even have supervised contact with her children. Not even a phonecall. They don't even know that she's alive and fighting for them. A judge who has admitted to judicially stalking her case and is known to favor abusive men, has denied her due process rights time and time again. A recording of him taken while she is pregnant, bragging about spraying her in the eyes and face with Windex and dragging her down the stairs by her hair and beating her, denied in court, is unequivocal proof he is an abuser.
"I do not believe it would be in my children's or my best interest to argue as a pro se litigant. I am need of a great attorney to help reunite me and my sons Rxxxx and Rxxxx. "
There is so much to be done, and so little time--every day her children are in their abuser's care is another day fraught with danger for them.
This is a serious problem as seen in the new Greysons Law of Florida , which came to be because a protective parent was stripped of her rights to protect her child and her son was murdered by the abusive, unstable biological father.
There are very limited legal aid resources in Maine, and the majority of pro Bono opportunities have been strategically blocked by conflict of interest created by the father. Therefore we are raising funds for the mother to retain an attorney, as her entire life and livelihood have been destroyed by these circumstances.
It is easy to get overwhelmed by the gross injustice of this. It is easy to feel swamped by this family’s needs, or wallow in the little that you can do. But donating to his fundraiser will mean these two young children are one step closer to being safe at home with their protective mother.
