On behalf of Lifecross Christian Church, we are raising funds to support Inacio Joao and his family during this painful and unexpected time.

On January 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., Inacio attended what was supposed to be a regular immigration appointment. Instead, he was detained by immigration authorities, without being informed of any crime or violation of U.S. law. Since that day, his family, church, and community have been left shocked and heartbroken.

Inacio is the devoted father of Lauane, his 16-year-old daughter, who is currently a student at Lewiston High School. At this moment, Lauane is facing this situation without her father, the person she trusts and depends on most. No child should have to endure such fear and uncertainty alone.

Inacio is a man of faith who loves God and faithfully serves his church and community. He is an active member of Lifecross Christian Church, serving as an Obreiro (church worker) and protocol assistant. He has played a vital role in church outreach, with a special focus on serving the homeless community. His life reflects compassion, humility, and service.
