Returning to Roots (R2R) to build a home for Gurkha Veteran
Namaste,
On Saturday, 28th September 2024, Cpl Roshan Gurung, Cpl Stephen, Cpl Chandan Gurung, and Cpl Mimahang will be participating in Trailwalker, a 100km trek across the stunning South Downs. This is the ultimate test of teamwork, resilience, and physical endurance, and we aim to complete it in under 30 hours.
We are raising funds for the GSPS-led “Returning 2 Roots” initiative, under the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT), to build a home for a Gurkha veteran or widow. The home will be built once sufficient funding is raised and will be handed over to a Gurkha veteran or widow, ensuring they live their life with dignity.
R2R, in collaboration with the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT), aims to build earthquake-resistant homes for Gurkha veterans who served in the British Army during past conflicts but were not fortunate enough to live in the UK or receive a pension. These veterans are supported by the GWT, which provides financial, medical, and community aid.
Every contribution, no matter how small, plays a vital role in supporting these veterans and honoring their service.
Thank you for your support!
