2 years ago Nicole received a phone call that would forever change her life ❤️ A friend of the family asked her to help care for one of her newborn twins. That friend, Amanda, had just gone from a young 24 year old mother of 2, to a mother of 4 and all under the age of 4 Amanda was also trying to work to support her family and with a serious heart condition. She not only had several leaky heart valves, she also had an aneurysm that threatened her life daily.
Although Nicole and John were only supposed to be caring for Haden 1 week, that week turned into 2 years Nicole and John have naturaly come to love Haden as their own son. Parental bonds have long been made and talks between Amanda and Nicole had progressed with Amanda agreeing to give them full custody aside from the temporary custody they have had for the last year and a half.
On November 21, 2016 Amanda had open heart surgery and everything went very well. She was released on November 25th and was home and healing. Within a few days she was up cleaning, taking care of her other children and even got her Christmas tree up and decorated.
December 1 that all came to a screatching hault. Amanda was admitted to the hospital in cardiac failure. She was declared brain dead December 2 and passed away the next day We are all mourning a great deal for her family and especially her children. Amanda's mother has also now agreed that Haden is best with the people who have loved him, nurtured him and raised him this far. They're all he's ever known. Nicole and John need our help to finalize the process that was already in motion but without Amanda here to give her final consent we have to petition the court and with that comes unforeseen expenses
Nicole and I have already met with a wonderful lawyer who is asking a $1500 flat fee He is beyond confident that considering all the circumstances this will be open and shut.
Nicole and John need our help !! Let's help them raise the $1500 and an assurance of just a little extra for anything else that may arise
