Max's Barn at the historic Yasgur farm in Bethel, New York, is an important piece of Woodstock Festival history, and I am raising funds to help restore it. This project has been on hold for far too long, and I am so excited to finally get it underway.
For too long, the barn has been used for abandoned storage. It needs care, cleanup, and repairs before it can be enjoyed the way it should be. It has been sad not to have the ability to welcome people to Max's Barn and share the space in a meaningful way.
My hope is to make the barn usable again for gatherings and celebrations, as well as music and art. With support, the funds will go toward removing unwanted and unnecessary items, repairing and replacing boards, and updating the electric service. Some work has already begun, and I hope to have the restoration done by the end of winter.
If this place and its history mean something to you, I would be deeply grateful for your help. Every donation or share will help bring Max's Barn back to life and make it possible to welcome people into the space once again.
