Restoring Lives-Supporting Cult Survivors & a Family in Need

Donation protected
My name is Lance J Christie.

I was once a respected business owner, a husband and father until the day I was excommunicated from the PBCC cult in the UK. In an instant I lost everything, my family, my livelihood, my home, my religion, my social circle and the very foundation of my identity. I was cast out, silenced and they tried to forget me.

But even in that darkness, a quiet purpose began to grow.

I founded the charity Free Indeed, and have applied for charitable status in the UK. We offer care, global counselling, and hope to those abandoned, broken, and traumatised by controlling religious systems. Our mission is to walk alongside cult leavers, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity, autonomy, and resilience.

While on this mission of healing and service, life led me to Thailand, where I met a humble, loving family struggling to survive in extreme poverty. The father, once a paddy field labourer, had tragically lost his leg due to a pesticide injury but he simply could not afford medical care.
Despite their hardship, they welcomed me with grace, kindness, and warmth into their family. In them, I found something I thought I had lost forever: a family. Their compassion and resilience moved me in ways words can scarcely describe.

But their struggles deepened. Their elder daughter, Kasorn, is now battling aggressive cancer. With no financial means for proper treatment, I borrowed money to fund her emergency surgery and chemotherapy. The need for ongoing treatment remains urgent.

Their younger daughter, Yu, has been a pillar of strength. She has postponed her own marriage to take full-time care of her sister during this critical time. Her selflessness and quiet strength have touched my heart deeply. I have made the decision to marry Yu, not only because of the bond we share, but because she has become an inseparable part of my journey of healing and purpose. Our union is rooted in shared love, sacrifice, and a deep desire to support each other and her family through this crisis.

They are no longer just people I met. They are now woven into my life, my healing, and my heart.
This campaign is about restoration. It is about lifting people out of silence and suffering, and giving them a voice, a family, and a future.

Our Funding Goal: Restoring Dignity, Rebuilding Lives.

We are on a mission to raise £3.825 million (AUS$ 8 million, US$ 5 million), a combined effort to support both a family in urgent medical crisis and the global expansion of a movement that brings healing to cult survivors.

£75,000 will support the Yodda family, who live in Nong Bua Lamphu, a remote village in northern Thailand near the Chinese border. They live far from access to proper medical care or basic resources.

This funding will ensure:

Mr. Yodda, who lost his leg while working as a paddy field labourer, can travel with his wife to Oklahoma City to receive a world-class prosthetic leg and advanced rehabilitation from leading specialist Scott Sabolich.

Kasorn, their courageous daughter fighting a severe form of cancer, can access urgent chemotherapy and advanced treatment, with hopes of providing her the best possible care in a private UK or US medical facility.
This is not just about survival. It is about restoring dignity, health, and a future filled with hope for a family who has given so much despite having so little.

£3.75 million will fund the long-term growth of Free Indeed, including outreach, advocacy, and recovery infrastructure for cult leavers globally.

Future Vision – Why Your Support Matters:

● Global Retreats: With financial backing, we aim to establish healing retreats for cult leavers worldwide. Spiritual abuse knows no borders.
● Raising Awareness: We must build a global voice against the psychological slavery and spiritual manipulation rampant in cults.
● Public Education: Promote awareness in schools, colleges, universities, and governments to ensure cultic control is exposed and outlawed.
● Engaging Support: With collective action and support from benefactors and ethical businesses, we can create lasting change.

A voice for the Voiceless:

As a survivor, I have committed to raising my voice for those trapped in silence. Those born into systems that steal their identity and freedom. I work with an APPG and global partners to advocate for the outlawing of psychological slavery in cults, and to bring awareness to schools, universities, and governments about spiritual abuse.

Since my excommunication from the PBCC, I have supported many former members affected by the misuse of the NSW Stewards’ Foundation of Christian Brethren Act. But with legal battles and ongoing help to others, my funds are depleted. I now humbly seek support from those who understand the cost of standing up for justice.

This is more than a charity project. This is a global movement for justice, awareness, and human dignity. Though this is charitable giving, tax relief will not apply until Free Indeed is officially established.

Your support can restore health, dignity, and hope to a family that has already suffered greatly.

“I lost my family in March 2017. But through perseverance and purpose I have found a new one, a compassionate one and I want to help both past and future family heal so that their potential can be realised.”

How You Can Help:

Whether you donate £10 (AU$25, US$15) as an individual or £10,000 (AU$ 25,000, US$12,500) or £50,000 (AU$125,000, US$75,000) as a business owner, every act of generosity brings us closer to restoring lives. If you are unable to give, please share this story. Your voice matters too. With collective action and support from benefactors and ethical businesses, we can create lasting change.

This is more than a campaign. It is a movement for justice, healing, and human dignity. From the depths of my heart, thank you for walking this road with us for freedom, for family, for healing.

With love and gratitude,
