Some people spend their lives quietly taking care of everyone else.
This fundraiser is for one of those people.
Janice Limon is co-owner of a local thrift store in Rio Rancho, a small business built on community, generosity, and second chances. She is a veteran, a neighborhood mom and grandma to so many, and someone whose life is defined by service, both seen and unseen.
Through her church, Janice spends her time making rosaries for the community, offering comfort, prayer, and hope to others during their hardest moments. She gives freely of her time, her energy, and her heart, never expecting anything in return.
She would never ask for help for herself; she’s simply not wired that way. That’s why this fundraiser isn’t coming from her, but from those who love her. I am one of her daughter’s best friends, and I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the kindness and generosity she shows to everyone around her. When someone who has spent her life giving is hurting, it’s on the rest of us to step in and help.
Recently, Janice was the victim of a devastating scam and lost $14,000, money she worked hard for, money meant to support her family, keep her small business running, and continue serving her community. In moments, that sense of security was taken from someone who least deserved it.
This unexpected loss has created a heavy financial and emotional burden. No one should have to carry that alone, especially someone who has spent her life lifting others up.
If you’re able to donate, please know that every contribution helps restore not just financial stability, but hope. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful.
Let’s remind her that kindness comes back around.
Let’s help a giver heal.
Thank you for your compassion, prayers, and support.
