A Mother's Love Should Never End in Loss. A Dream Delayed, but Not Lost.
Hi Everyone,
For years this mother worked tirelessly, prayed, sacrificed and lived modestly in the U.S., sending money back home to help her family and save for their lifelong dream: building a home in her birth country — a place where her children could live in peace and comfort, and where she could visit them often.
Over time, she sent over $40,000 USD to a family member, trusting them completely to safeguard it while they pursued their studies abroad. But sometimes even those we love the most can deeply hurt us. Without her knowing, the funds were slowly used for education, loans, and daily expenses — until there was nothing left. When the truth came to light, it shattered not just her trust, but her peace, her health, and her dreams. This is not just a story of lost money — it’s a story of heartbreak, and the long road to healing.
She’s still paying her bills, still helping her family where she can, but her dream of having that home for her children feels further away than ever. While the person responsible has shown remorse, owning their mistake and comitted to repaying her each month. The reality is that it could take many years before she recovers what was lost, if at all. As well, the emotional burden and financial setback remain overwhelming.
We are launching this campaign to help her rebuild her savings and show her that her trust in people is not misplaced. Even the smallest contributions add up, and more importantly, they send a message that kindness and honesty still exist. Her dream may be delayed, but not lost.
