She's Coming Home! Help Restore Gastonia's Clock!

She's coming home! In 1920 the beautiful Citizens National Bank Building was built in the heart of downtown Gastonia. For decades this beautiful clock stood right outside the bank. However, in the mid to late 1970's the clock was removed. The clock has now been located in Charlotte on 1100 S. Tryon St and SHE IS COMING HOME to Gastonia! It will be restored and put back right near its original location in front of the bank building. 

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

The clock needs to be restored. It needs electrical work to get it back in working condition. We also need to replace the stained glass to tout the origin of Citizens National Bank as well the clock needs a new bronze base so it can be put back in its place. The goal for restoration is $20,000. Any remaining funds will be donated for arts in the Rotary Park expansion.

HOMECOMING EVENT ON FRIDAY August 9th at  APROX. 1PM
Please join us in Downtown Gastonia on Friday August 9th around 1pm. The clock will ride down Main Ave with a police escort and sit in front of the Citizens National Bank building for about an hour before it goes into storage in preparation to be restored to its original beauty. 
(Time is approximate because they will be removing the clock from S. Tryon St in Charlotte with a crane to bring it back. Should be about 1 though!)
