Hi, my name is Sharon, and I’m seeking help for my family back home in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. The eye of Hurricane Melissa has devastated our community, leaving so much damage and heartbreak behind. Our family home, the same home that sheltered us for generations has lost its roof and several walls have been knocked down completely or partially. My family lives in Luna and much aid has not made it to that small remote community as of yet.

My loved ones, including elderly family members and little children, are living in unsafe conditions, open to the elements day and night. It breaks my heart to know they’re going through this and that I can only do so much from here in America. My family and I have already exhausted personal resources to help and now we are reaching out for help.

I’m trying to raise funds to assist them rebuild their home and get back on their feet. Every donation will go directly toward fixing the house, getting food, clean water, and other supplies they desperately need. The goal is to make the home safe and secure again so they don’t have to live in fear.

Any amount, big or small, truly makes a difference. Your kindness and support mean more than words can say.
