Help Families in Jamaica Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa
My name is Aennika, and I’m raising funds to help my nephew and his two children, along with other families in their rural Jamaican community, who have been left devastated after Hurricane Melissa.
The storm ripped through the island with terrifying force. In a matter of hours, homes were torn apart, roads were flooded, and entire communities were left without power, shelter, or clean water. My nephew’s home was among those destroyed, the roof ripped away, walls collapsed, and everything inside was ruined. But his story is just one of many.
In the days since the storm, families have been trying to survive with what little they have left. Some are sleeping in damaged houses or under makeshift tarps. Others are staying with neighbors, unsure how they’ll rebuild. Children are asking when they can go home, but right now, “home” is a memory.
Your donation will go directly toward helping these families recover by providing:
Roof repairs and home rebuilding materials
Food, clean water, and hygiene supplies
Clothing, mattresses, and basic household items
School supplies and essentials for the children
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring comfort, dignity, and relief to those who have lost everything.
If you can give, please do. And if you can’t, please share this campaign — spreading the word is just as powerful. Together, we can help these families rise again after Hurricane Melissa’s devastation.
