The Bakersfield Youth Rodeo Club is a non-profit organization that teaches the youth in the surrounding communities the sport of Rodeo. It is our desire to make it affordable to all children from the age of 19 to as young as two years old.

We have a family that is in need of funds to replace their tack, ropes, steer riding gear, and other items that were lost in a fire in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 21, 2024. Arson is suspected. Two horses were also lost in the fire.

Orlando Minero, the young man that we are wanting to help, is avid in Rodeo. He rides steers, ropes, and participates in other rodeo events. His younger brother Felix is also following in his footsteps and is just beginning. Not only does Orlando ride at our monthly Youth Rodeos, he also volunteers with the Mutton Busting; runs gates and chutes; and, moves steers.
