Hello folks, my name is Kaseen Campbell II. I live in Lake Elsinore, CA with my mom and siblings in a two-bedroom apartment. My sister and I put our names on the lease to make it easier for my mom to get this place, and to be honest, it has been tough. Through the grace of God, we have made it this far.

I've done research on how stress affects people, and I can tell the stress is slowly killing my mom physically and mentally. She used to be an outgoing individual who loved to party and just have fun with her kids, but now she is always tired and in pain. It's hard seeing her the way she is and not being able to do anything. She has applied to hundreds of jobs, and so have my sister and I, but as we know, the job industry is dwindling, so we haven't had any luck. My mother and I landed a job but sadly had to decline the offer because we had no transportation.

We (especially my mom) have banked on false hope and promises from family members who only see my mom as a tool. My mom, being who she is, always steps up to help even when she only receives help back when it's convenient. Everything going on involving my mom is an inconvenience, from stacked-up bills and rent to trying to put food in the house. Through all of that, she still wakes up at the crack of dawn to homeschool my brothers and finds ways to make meals from the food she finds in the pantry. I just had to remind her again that she can't keep letting people use her, but she has too much compassion and believes that no one else will help if she doesn't, which in most cases is true. But it isn't healthy, especially with the health issues she already has currently.

I know a lot of people are struggling out there, and I know that she is not alone, but it's hard to find help when people we depend on only see her for her skills and not for the effort she puts in trying to financially care for this apartment and my little brothers. I hope I'm not asking for much, but literally anything will help. At this point, my sister and I care little about our own well-being because without my mom, we would be lost, and for that I will never stop trying to help my mom. If anyone could find it in their hearts to help out, it would be a blessing. I hate only being able to help physically, knowing that that's only half the work, but I know there are folks that will understand. It's just about finding the right ones. Thank you, God Bless.
