Restore Vandalized Mission District Mural: Donate Now
Donation protected
With all the mayhem going on in the world, why not turn some of that negative energy into something positive?
Recently, some very prominent and long-standing murals depicting our vibrant and rich Mission District culture were defaced by someone who was obviously going through some heavy mental health obstacles. Most of these murals were funded and painted by local artists that depict and celebrate the richness and fortitude of the working-class communities of color that helped build San Francisco.
We are actively trying to raise funds to clean and restore one of those murals located on the corner of 25th and Mission. The cleanup and restoration will cost close to $15,000. We are asking all our friends and family from the Bay Area that we love so much, to please donate to bring back to life a part of our community, culture, and childhood. The funds will be utilized to purchase materials, rent power washers, power lifts, and cover labor costs to restore and protect the mural from future defacement. Thank you and much love.
