Restore Matt Luttringer’s Reputation

We are friends and alumni of Notre Dame High School in Riverside, CA.  I guess you can call us “family”.  We are joining forces to help one of our former principals fight for his reputation, and in turn save the school from the tyrannical hands of the Diocese of San Bernardino Office of Catholic Schools.

• This fight is a legal fight, and it will be costly.  
• Mr. Matt Luttringer wants his reputation restored, so that the hundreds of high schoolers that he had taught and who were under his guidance as principal over the last 21 years will know that he did nothing to deserve the abrupt and calculated way he was removed from his position.
• His firing was orchestrated to maximize his humiliation and discredit his character, and left some people to fabricate untruths--all in full view of his students, faculty, alumni and staff.
• The Bishop at the Diocese of San Bernardino and the Office of Catholic Schools would not allow Mr. Luttringer any conversation,  recourse or avenue in which to defend himself…to have his side of the story heard.
 

We are raising funds to help Matt Luttringer with his legal fight.  His part-time job as a flight attendant does not even come close to covering the expenses of retaining an attorney willing to take on the Diocese of San Bernardino.

 

We are fed up with the poor treatment of those who have devoted themselves to Catholic Education. We are fed up with the implosion of Catholic Schools in our Diocese, and the subsequent closure of those schools by the neglect the Bishop has shown for Catholic Schools. We are fed up with the blatant non-Christian and non-Catholic manner in which the San Bernardino Diocese and the Office of Catholic Schools treats and then dismisses these individuals.  This behavior is nothing new, but this time we would like them to realize that there is no separation of Church and mistreatment by representatives of the Church.  We would like to see the Diocese of San Bernardino and the Office of Catholic Schools act as the Catholic Christians they claim themselves to be.
