Help Sister Educators Restore an Historic Home
Donation protected
We, the two youngest children of Conan Paige, are both educators. One of us is a US Navy Veteran. While educators and veterans don't earn enough to live lavishly as many, but we are both determined to carry on the legacy of our Father, a US Air Force Veteran. We're not sure how our Dad, Conan Paige, maintained this incredible family treasure passed on by his GrandFather, Braxton Pollard; who purchased the land and hand-built this home in 1912; in King William, Va.
With YOUR help we are doing our best to continue what they started. Below are a few articles and shows that have helped share our story:

Ultimately, we hope this house will stand forever to serve as an example of Black Life & Culture in America during the early 1900's. We're working to restore this house and build a place to commemorate and celebrate hard-working, everyday people who love and fight for this country in a small Virginia community.
In addition to restoring the home place, we are in the process of applying for the house to be on the Historic Registry. We have passed one board to reach eligible status to continue the process.
King William is the smallest county in Virginia with the oldest operating courthouse in America (https://www.dhr.virginia.gov/historic-registers/050-0038/). Our Ancestors were proud to be from King William, Va and it is our duty to honor their memory by preserving this history.
The monies will be used for:
We are learning that restoring an historical home requires specialists who can be rather expensive. We are applying for grants and we will need additional capital for application fees, initial seed funds, etc.
We appreciate all support and look forward to celebrating with a grand opening as soon as all repairs are made!
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family's contribution to American History.
