This fundraiser is to rebuild the community drying house for the El Encuentro sacred harvest, near Cuzco. These people are bringing back the sacred cultivation and harvest of many plants, to preserve and expand the ancient wisdom and knowledge of the people indigenous to the Sacred Valley in Peru. Damaged in a recent earthquake, their adobe-block drying hose needs to be rebuilt before the next harvest.

Taita Fortunato in the photo above is giving his blessing of gratitude for the maize from this year's harvest.

Funds will go, via Bacilio Zea Sanchez to his local non-profit established for the benefit of restoring these practices.
