Restore JoAnn's Home and Hope

Dear friends,

This campaign began when two kind-hearted men, John Chisom and Jonathan D'Arcio, came across JoAnn, a 75-year-old woman in our community, living in unimaginable conditions. Her home—the house she grew up in—has fallen into devastating disrepair.

• There are holes in the roof, leaving her home exposed to the elements.

• The water pipes are leaking, and there’s black mold throughout the house.

• Most of the electrical outlets don’t work, and there is no gas or heat.

• JoAnn relies on Meals on Wheels for food but can only heat them up in her microwave.

JoAnn is incredibly resilient and determined to stay in the only home she’s ever known, despite these dangerous and unlivable conditions. While temporary housing has been offered, she’s desperate not to leave, which is why John Chisom and Jonathan D'Arcio took it upon themselves to help.

What started as two neighbors stepping in has grown into a community-wide effort. Several local organizations, volunteers, and kind-hearted individuals have joined forces to restore JoAnn's home and make it safe and livable again. We’ve come together because JoAnn deserves to spend her golden years in a home that is warm, safe, and filled with dignity.
