Good day, my name is Orain Malcolm, and I am a proud son of Westmoreland, Jamaica. Today, I come to you with a heavy heart, as our beloved parish and indeed much of our country has been left in devastation by the passage of Hurricane Melissa. The storm has torn through our communities, leaving families in Savanna-la-Mar and surrounding areas without homes, without food, and without hope.

Many of our neighbors have lost everything their roofs, their livelihoods, their sense of security. As we stand together in the aftermath, I am pleading for assistance to help rebuild and to provide urgent relief for the families most affected. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference whether it helps to repair a roof, provide clean water, or bring comfort to a child who has lost everything.

Westmoreland is a place of resilience and community spirit, but right now, we need your support to rise again. I’m asking for your help to bring life back to Savanna-la-Mar and restore hope to the people who call it home.

The fund will go towards families affected in the area as these resources collected will provide care packages until external government entities can be available. Thank you for your support.
