My name is Korey, and my fiancé and I have a blended family of 6 children. We currently live in a 2-bedroom home. Although I am thankful for what we have, it is simply not big enough. A few months back, I was given the opportunity to remodel a home for my family. When finished, it would have been a 4-bedroom house, exactly what my family needs and deserves. I have worked so hard to get where I am today, much like a lot of you out there. I have fought my demons my entire life. I have taken the worst of situations and tried my best to make them better, but this time my heart is hurt.
I spent around $2000 on materials and in my spare time worked on this home. As I started seeing the “finish line,” it quickly faded away on 4-25-25. I felt all hope, all the finances and time I’ve put into this home was wasted. $2000 may not seem like a lot to some of you, but to my family, it was everything.
I have encountered considerable disrespect throughout my life. However, this incident surpasses my comprehension. Regrettably, we have reverted to the starting point. Malicious damage has been inflicted upon the property, including shattered windows, demolished walls, and vandalized mirrors. Additionally, walls that were previously finished have been repainted, ceilings have been defaced, and holes have been kicked into the walls. Even the bedroom doors have been painted pink. Furthermore, stain has been poured onto the walls, and a substantial quantity of adhesive has been spilled on the floor, among other forms of destruction. The most disheartening aspect of this incident is the likelihood that the perpetrator was a minor, as evidenced by the small shoe print found in the Sheetrock. Not a single tool was stolen. I have many more pictures that the site will only allow a few.
I am asking for donations and if you can’t donate, please pray for me and my family as I try to find a way to fix this mess and meet my deadline once again.
Thank you and God bless you.
