My mother, who has always put people first, is now facing her own struggles. The recent hurricane tore through her community, leaving behind destruction and heartbreak. Her house, the place she’s lived in for decades and poured her love into, was completely destroyed. She’s now displaced, without shelter, and facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over with limited resources.
