Project GOLD Jamaica is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing Guidance, Opportunities, and Lessons for Development for at-risk youth in communities across Jamaica since 2018. Project GOLD is the foundation of former Sunshine Girls Captain Simone Forbes.

Hurricane Melissa's devastation to Jamaica has left many families with children/youth without access to necessities like food, water, clothing, and shelter. In the aftermath of this disaster, Project GOLD has been working tirelessly to help provide relief assistance to those affected, especially our youth and their families.

The scale of the devastation is vast, and we urgently require the support of generous donors like you to continue the worldwide efforts to provide as much relief as possible for those significantly impacted.

"As someone who has directly benefited from Jamaica’s community spirit and sporting programs, I feel a deep personal responsibility to help those who have lost everything. Many of the families displaced include children. These children are now without the basics and school supplies, and their entire communities remain cut off from communication due to damaged infrastructure. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward providing emergency aid and rebuilding support for these families and youth. Specifically, the money will be used to purchase clothing, food, clean water, and essential supplies for those who have lost their homes.

All funds will be carefully tracked and distributed in partnership with local Project GOLD coordinators in Jamaica. Regular updates, photos, and documentation will be shared to ensure full transparency and accountability through our social media pages @projectgoldja (Instagram, Twitter/X and Facebook).
