Restore Hope for Ukrainian Refugees Iryna and Her Family

I am asking for donations, big or small, for our Ukrainian refugee friends to help them repair a house we recently obtained for them. These brave women: Iryna, her mother Polina and Iryna’s 5 year old child Kira escaped the bombings and the gunfire to cross the Ukrainian border into Moldova where they lived in a refugee house with not much of anything. They eventually got help from an American allowing them to come to the US and eventually Ocean Springs, Mississippi. They have lost so much- their home, their belongings, family, friends, a livelihood, and the right to have a normal life. Iryna was an art professor and had a successful business, but all is gone. Mississippi is now their home and we have helped them obtain their very own house at an auction foreclosure, but it needs a lot of work before it’s livable. We are out of money to help so we are asking for the kindness of others. The house needs a new roof, and because it leaked, some of the sub flooring is rotted out, we need flooring, bathroom fixtures etc.

Please help this refugee family if you can. We are a nation of immigrants. This family is doing everything they can to be independent and a benefit to America. But it’s hard when you have just enough money to survive on, and can’t afford much. The 5 year old child has learned perfect English so quickly and also speaks Ukrainian and Russian. She is a star pupil at school scoring some of the highest grades in the state. She deserves a chance at a new life. They all do. These are amazing people. They are here legally and their immigration status allows them to work but it’s been very hard. Please help if you can. All of the money will go to home repairs for this house.
