Dear Community,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Derricka Good, and I am a single mother of two wonderful children. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when our home was tragically destroyed by a fire. We lost everything—our belongings, our memories, and the safe space we had built together.

In the midst of this heartache, I am incredibly grateful that my children were kept safe. I thank God every day that He removed them from harm before anything happened. My main focus now is to shield them from the hurt and harm this situation brings, while finding a way to rebuild and restore what we’ve lost.

With only the clothes on our backs, we are in urgent need of assistance. Many have reached out to offer their support, and it truly means the world to me. After much consideration, I’ve decided to start a GoFundMe campaign to help us get back on our feet. The funds raised will go towards securing temporary housing, replacing essential items like clothing and food, and helping us find a new place to call home.
