Restore Hope for Demetris Blount After Scam

Allow me to introduce myself. Hello, my name is Demetris Blount. I am hearing impaired along with other medical issues. I was one of the individuals affected by the flood in January. My car with all of my medical supplies was destroyed. Being deaf is difficult. The insurance company paid off my car. I was in search of a new car.

I looked on the Marketplace on Facebook and saw a Cadillac that reminded me of the car I lost. I discovered a car, reached out to the owner, and we chatted for a length of time. He assured me the car was in excellent condition, with no issues, one owner, and low mileage. We met at my apartment. We agreed on $4000 cash. I asked where the title was (he would bring it back the next day), to fix the dent, glove compartment box, and the light in the back. I purchased the car on April 27, 2024. I drove the car the same day, and it broke down on the side of the road. I had to have the car towed. I contacted Juan Carlos regarding the issue. He stated he would come and check on the car.

I called and called Juan, but there were no responses. I realized after weeks elapsed, I had been scammed. The car caught on fire after I started it up. I am desperately in need of the community's help in securing another car. My life has forever changed, especially after getting taken advantage of by someone whom I thought I could trust. What happened to humanity? I have filed claims with the DMV, Police Department, and Facebook.
