Restore Hope for Carmen and Her Son Paul

To know Carmen Ward is to know a woman who loves her community and gives with every ounce of herself. She regularly collects clothing and other items to support others in North St. Louis County and the City. With my own eyes I’ve seen Carmen donate her own clothing to others. Carmen has helped MoDE set up two special education clinics. Now Carmen needs our help. Her home has a lot of damage from yesterday’s storm. It’s unclear if insurance will cover any of the damage, but she’s navigating that now.

In the interim, her son Paul has disabilities and Carmen is concerned about his medical needs now that their home doesn’t have power. Carmen recently added a porch to their home and made updates. All of that was destroyed in the storm. Carmen is love and help and faith. She did not ask me to set this up, but I hope you’ll help her. Carmen deserves care, comfort, and support. She’ll probably remind us all that she and Paul have not been hit the hardest by yesterday’s storm, but their needs are high and their selflessness is, too.
