Hello, my name is Saul Perez Hernandez.

The purpose of this fundraiser is for me and a team to go to San Pedro, Dominican Republic to support my dearest friend: Rolando Belen, his wife, Xiomara, and their daughter and grandson. Belen and his wife lost their home to a hurricane years ago and struggled to recover financially. In 2015, with the support of YWAM Homes of Hope, we were able to build a new home for Belen and his family.

During that time, I partnered with Belen, who coached a local youth baseball program to help youth build life skills as well as to get opportunities to play for US MLB farms and make their way to the States.

Since then, my wife Jessica and I have left the DR but have stayed in touch with Belen. We have been able to help meet some of their needs through financial assistance; however, a few years ago, Belen was diagnosed with a brain tumor that impeded his ability to work and causes him to have seizures. Xiomara takes care of Belen and works by cleaning houses. She also suffers from high blood pressure and is taking medication. The need for this family is great.

My plan is to go back and help them recondition the house, which will include:
