Restore Hope for Arlene and Her Grandson
Donation protected
This is my mom, Arlene. She is 70 years old and has emphysema and COPD and is on oxygen. Unfortunately, she was recently the victim of a bank fraud scam that left her with only $9 to her name. They took every bit of money she had and also drained the savings account she had for my nephew, who she is a guardian for. This is a very embarrassing situation for her because she knows that if she had just stopped to think, she would have known what was going on, but they put her in such a panic and had her so riled up that she did not have time to consider what could and did happen to her. There is a special place in hell for people who prey on the elderly in such a way and leave them with nothing.
This incident has been reported to the police, and she is working with her bank, Wells Fargo, but they have said that they do not believe that there is any chance they will be able to get back what she has lost.
We, as her family, are able to cover her bills, but we are not able to replace what she and my nephew have lost. This isn't just disappointing for her, but also for my 14-year-old nephew who is innocent in this whole thing.
So, please, if you are able to help, I know she would be incredibly grateful. Any little bit helps. So thank you in advance.
