To whomever this reaches...
On Saturday 04.26.25, my sister and her family's home caught on fire around 9am. Thankfully, everyone is okay. It was caused by an electrical fire that quickly and completely, burnt down the entire attic, extending into the base of the home, leaving significant damage everywhere. They have lost everything and will have to rebuild all that's been created in their home. My 17-year-old nephew and his girlfriend were asleep when it started, waking up to the fire alarm and having to exit in a hurry, all while trying to get their 2 lab dogs out with them! Thankfully, my nephew was able to get Bella out, and the firefighter was able to find and save Cooper!
Ever since my nephew was little, he has suffered from extreme asthma, resulting in multiple ambulance rides, never being able to run or play sports as a kid should! During this unfortunate incident, he suffered major smoke inhalation that had him go back in an ambulance. To bring some light into that situation, my nephew was happy he was able to hurry out with his new tux he purchased for his senior prom that same night, and thankfully, he was released from the hospital with no significant injuries. He was able to turn a traumatic day into a fun & memorable night and still attend his senior prom.
That home was bought with an inheritance my sister's grandfather had left her, and I remember the excitement from everyone on the first home they could truly call theirs. For my sister, it was a home in remembrance of her grandpa, in a way. The home itself can be fixed; however, that end date is going to take quite some time. The memorabilia in the home... can never be replaced. Please, any donations towards this fundraiser to help my sister and her family get back on their feet and help restore as much as they can would help them in more ways than one. On behalf of my family, we would be forever grateful and truly appreciative to receive any help. No amount is too small. Thank you for your time, may God bless you all.
UPDATE:*** As of the week of 05.05.25... people have now started taking it upon themselves.. & have KNOCKED down the fence that is surrounding my sisters home. They have gone through their home and have started STEALING anything they please. NO MATTER the damage done to the home, NO MATTER what is and what is not salvageable .... I am just truly beside my self with the people in the world we live in today. To make it obvious with the broken down gate out front, and dumping whatever they feel within the home "ransacking" the place... just doesn't leave me much faith for anyone.. anymore these days. I wanted to make this known to anyone reading this, so if anyone experiences a house fire like my sister & her family have.... to expect and be aware of people coming in and stealing everything they feel is fit no matter how down you already are.... they really dont care. ***
