Hurricane Melissa has left a trail of devastation across Jamaica’s western and northern coasts. Many families have lost their homes, livelihoods, and access to basic necessities. The Hope for All Outreach Christian Center in Brooklyn is stepping up to help, raising funds to support our community members whose lives have been turned upside down by this disaster. Families are now without homes, children are left without a safe place to sleep, and many are struggling to find food and clean water.
Our mission is to restore dignity and hope by focusing on rebuilding homes and providing temporary shelters for those most affected. With the help of community members on the ground in Jamaica, we will purchase building materials and coordinate relief efforts to ensure aid reaches those who need it most. Every dollar raised will go directly to families facing significant loss, helping them begin the long process of recovery and rebuilding their lives.
The need is urgent. As families sift through the rubble and face uncertain days ahead, your support can make a real difference. By joining us in this effort, you are helping to provide not just shelter, but also hope and a path forward for those who have lost so much. Together, we can help restore dignity and stability to our community in this critical time.
ABOUT US:
Founded in 2001 under the leadership of Bishop Christopher E. Finch and First Lady Margaret Finch, Hope for All Outreach Christian Center was born out of another tragedy: 9/11. Bishop Finch — then working on the 86th floor of the World Trade Center — was spared during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. For the past 24 years, Hope for All has served as a pillar of faith in East New York and a place of spiritual refuge for hundreds of believers, many with deep familial ties to Jamaica. Our relief campaign is part of our broader outreach, alongside our ongoing food, clothing, and toiletry drive, to stand with those in urgent need during their darkest hours.
