Help restore Franklin & Sarah Ellen Smathers Lost Legacy

Donation protected
I am seeking help replace my Civil War ancestor headstone. He and his wife's stone was vandalzied and disguarded many decades ago. I have applied for his military marker but this marker is for him and his wife. Franklin Smathers and his wife Sarah's Ellen McCarty were both born in 1846 in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Sarah passed in 1925 and Franklin in 1928 in Moxahala, Ohio.

This new marble marker is designed to fit the era of stones in the early 1900's. It's a simple, clean, and beautiful marker to remember them. I am working with Madison Monumnets in Georgia for the marker. I have uploaded a similar stone from thier website for reference. They've been wonderful to work with so far.

I have done the research and have coordinated with local Trustees too place a new stone/s for Franklin & Sarah.

The donation will go towards the design of the new marker, the materials for the marker, help with funds to transport the stone from Georgia to Ohio, and to construct/place the marker on its resting spot.

Stone cost with masonry work is around $2600. The rest will be towards fuel to pick up from Gerogia and take to Ohio. I will build a base for it and place the stone myself

Thank you so much!
