Restore Elmhurst Baptist Church's Fence

Hello everyone!

My name is Albert Wu and I am currently a Life Scout in Troop 17, Elmhurst, Queens NY.

One of the major steps to advancing to boy scout's highest rank, Eagle, is the service project requirement. Therefore, I have decided to lead a service project for Troop 17's homeplace: Elmhurst Baptist Church.

Elmhurst Baptist Church has not only been the home of Troop 17 for decades, but an avid supporter of the Troop. As a scout who matured through Troop 17's and Elmhurst Baptist Church's support. I would like to give back to the place that I call a second home. The church has a gate and fence outside that borders the lawn and spans roughly 336 ft long. However, the gate and fence is in need of intensive restoration. I've identified several areas of repair such as cracking paint, rusting, broken parts, and fissured concrete base. My service project will address these issues and give the church the respect it deserves. Specific repairs include applying fresh paint, scrapping off rusted and old paint, and filing in cement for the cracked concrete base.
