Ecole Primaire Publique El. Djankanagbe N'Faly Kaba Kefina is the only primary school in Dossari, a village in Kankan, Guinea. Built by my father to honor my grandfather, the school has become a beacon of hope for over 200 children, giving them the chance to prepare for their 6th grade exams and continue their education in the city. Thanks to the dedication of the teachers and students, the school has maintained a 100% exam admission rate, making a real difference in the community.
My father built the school with his own funds, providing everything from the building itself to the desks and boards. Now elderly, he can no longer support the upkeep as he once did. The school’s walls are in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint, and the cafeteria ceiling is starting to cave in, making it unsafe for the children.
I am raising funds to repaint and fix the ceiling in the school's cafeteria, renew the desks for the students, and, with any extra money, I plan to put it towards a bookbag drive for all 200 children. I will personally handle the funds and coordinate with my family and trusted contacts in the village to ensure the repairs are completed and the students have what they need. I’ll also share update photos so everyone can see the impact of their support. Every contribution will help create a safer, brighter learning environment for these children and honor the legacy my father began. I believe every child deserves to learn in a safe environment, and we can make it possible by rejuvenating the school.
$2000 - will go towards buying washable paint to paint the whole school (with the interior taking priority), rework the desks and the manpower that will be required
$1000 - towards ceiling and potential roofing repair.
