Our group is dedicated to restoring and maintaining a cemetery that has been forgotten for over three years. The grounds have become overgrown, making it difficult for families and visitors to pay their respects. This cemetery is not only a resting place for loved ones, but it also holds significant historical value—most notably, the 16th governor of Arkansas and his family are buried here. We believe it deserves to be cared for and preserved as a part of our community’s heritage.
The funds raised will be used to purchase essential equipment, including a riding mower, a push mower, possibly a wood chipper, and supplies to control ticks. With these tools, we’ll be able to clear the overgrowth, maintain the grounds, and ensure the cemetery remains a beautiful and safe place for everyone. Our group is committed to ongoing maintenance so that the site can be enjoyed and respected for generations to come.
If you cannot physically help, we would kindly ask that you donate so that we can buy the equipment to keep the cemetery the beautiful place that it can be. Your support will help us honor the history and the families who rest here. Thank you for considering a donation to this important project.
